ADULTS RAISED BY GAYS: PFLAG PROGRAM by: MKC133@aol.com, OIA Newswire
Reminiscences and revelations of young adults who were raised by gays or lesbians will be the program at the May 7 meeting of PFLAG of Greater Providence. One young man counted five lesbians in the extended family who shared in nurturing him. This audiotape includes the voices of people who called in to the National Public Radio show that aired the discussion. It is an insightful addition to our understanding of the families glbt people create.
Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians and Gays is a support and education group for people with gay loved ones, and for glbt people seeking loving relationships with their families.
The Greater Providence chapter meets from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. on the First Wednesday of each month at the Met School, 325 Public Street in Providence. All are welcome, and there is no admission charge.
